Synopsis

Christopher Cross, a mild-mannered cashier and weekend painter trapped in a loveless marriage, rescues the beautiful Kitty March from an attack, instantly falling for her charms. Unbeknownst to Chris, Kitty and her abusive boyfriend Johnny are con artists who discover his artistic talent has commercial value. As they manipulate Chris into letting Kitty take credit for his paintings, his infatuation spirals into an obsession with devastating consequences, drawing him deeper into a web of deception where love, art, and identity become fatally intertwined.
